CLIENT: University of Connecticut, Storrs Campus

Thomas R Tavella, FASLA was the Project Manager and landscape architect working with the Hartford-based architectural firm of JCJ Archi-tecture, Inc., and the internationally renowned architectural practice of HOK Sport + Venue + Event, all of whom are dedicated to developing the Football Complex at the University of Connecticut Storrs Campus. The complex will be the on-campus home of UConn’s football program and will house coaches’ offices, team meeting rooms, locker rooms, and other football-related facilities.

The design team is tasked with developing a state-of-the-art indoor practice facility for the University of Connecticut Division IA football program. The facility design incorporates "Green Building" techniques for the building and throughout the site, which resulted in the first NCAA facility achieving LEED Silver.
